Our Stories Our Songs

May 11 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Women of World Stage WOWS Inc. is working on a very comprehensive, exciting and meaningful project.

We turned real migration stories of diverse backgrounds into original songs that are to be performed on a  music festival on 11 May at Churchlands.

Migration stories are important and powerful. We wanted to give voice of our vibrant, diverse backgrounds, learn from experiences and get inspired also to uplift others.

We made 8 brand new original songs from many stories we interviewed and videographed. The songs’ lyrics  are written in English and composed into songs.  Some lines of the songs are translated into the native language of the story tellers.

Languages of lyrics that some lines turned into the native languages of the story tellers include:

African; Serbian; Indian; Turkish; Persian; Afghani- Hazara; and  Chinese-Mandarin

WHAT WE NEED HELP/SUPPORT FOR: We need some vocals/singers who can join to our rehearsal from now onward every Thursday at 6-8pm in Bentley.. They can learn the songs,  harmonised with instrument players,  and perform at the music festival  on 11 May 2024 at Churchlands.

Can people who are interested with this meaningful project  please contact us on the following phone number and/or email address as soon as possible as we have short time left to prepare for the festival.
