The Myth of Gong and Drum

Come and explore the village phenomenon of the special UNESCO Vietnamese Ede Gong Culture, collaborating with Douglas Dunn and Dancers from New York, TaikOZ Drummers from Sydney, Link Dancers from Perth and Canning’s own Community Choir – The Voices of Canning!
CALLING ALL SINGERS
The Voices of Canning Choir under the musical direction of Perry Joyce will be forming for this wonderful event. A mixed SATB choir singing in Vietnamese and sharing in a spectacular cultural collaboration!
Rehearsals will be held at the Canning Town Hall (Cnr Albany Hway & George Street, Cannington)
- Wed 13th Jan 2016 7pm – 9pm
- Wed 20th Jan 2016 7pm – 9pm
- Wed 27th Jan 2016 7pm – 9pm
- Thurs 4th Feb 2016 6pm – 9pm Technical Rehearsal
Singers must then be available for
- Fri 5th Feb 2016 6pm – 9pm Dress Rehearsal at Shelley Foreshore
- Sat 6th Feb 2016 6pm – 9pm Concert at Shelley Foreshore
The Rossmoyne Community Singers will be coordinating the Choir registrations and rehearsals on behalf of the City of Canning.
There is no cost to join and the choir is open to all choral singers however, you must be able to commit to rehearsals.
