Collegium Symphonic Chorus1Since its inception in 1997, Perth Symphonic Chorus (formerly Collegium Symphonic Chorus) has impressed and mesmerised audiences throughout Australia and overseas.

Led by internationally-acclaimed conductor, Dr Margaret Pride, the Chorus comprises close to 100 disciplined, enthusiastic and passionate individuals who are skilled in performing the works of some of the best choral composers throughout the ages.

With a varied repertoires ranging from full-scale works for large choirs and orchestras, to madrigal, gospel and lighter pieces including choruses from musicals, the Perth-based choir has gained a reputation for a purity of sound, tone and spirit which translates into music that brings joy to the heart.

Perth Symphonic Chorus’s 2020 Subscription Series presents a variety of choral music from Classical to Broadway.
The Series will begin with an Anzac Concert featuring Rutter’s and Cherubini’s Requiems, interspersed with moving, amusing and historic readings. This will be followed by a fun afternoon concert Give My Regards to Broadway accompanied by a small jazz band.

To celebrate Beethoven’s 250th anniversary they’ll be presenting his Choral Fantasy, his Mass in C and the ever popular Fifth Symphony. As is their tradition they will close the year with their beautiful Carols by Candlelight followed by Handel’s wonderful Messiah in the Perth Concert Hall.
