Tuxedo Junction is a vocal ensemble under the musical direction of Simone Bishop.
Our group contains a wonderful diversity of singers. We are both young and vintage choristers, from professional and non-professional musical backgrounds, and from many geographic areas of Perth. We are everything from parents of toddlers to jet-setting retirees!
Tuxedo Junction began in 1987 as a male barbershop group and have since evolved into a mixed ensemble, singing both a cappella and accompanied music.
Tuxedo Junction performs regularly around Perth and WA. We stage our own concerts plus we are booked to perform for other organisations and events such as local councils, charity dinners, music festivals and many others. And of course we can be found carolling all over Perth in December.
We maintain a group of 20-25 singers and welcome new members when vacancies arise. We rehearse Thursday evenings 7:30-10:00pm at the Harold Hawthorne Community Centre, 2 Memorial Ave, Carlisle. Potential new members are able to attend rehearsals for a trial period, then audition for membership.
