The Song of Us

The Song of Us is a non-audition daytime choir which exists for the joy of singing. We laugh a lot in rehearsal and like to walk the line between singing purely for the fun of it, and the sense of joy obtained when meeting new musical challenges, which has included a recent shift to predominantly a cappella repertoire. We enjoy putting our own spin on the songs we sing and our music ranges from world to pop to original songs and often includes arrangements made by the director, Raelene Bruinsma, and friends of the choir. We like to attend the odd choral festival and do a few performances, but some members just come for the fun of rehearsals. Our members range in age from early adulthood to wise maturity, and we like it that way. No experience needed, all levels of experience welcome.

We meet on Friday mornings from 10 am to 11:30 at the Bull creek Community Centre, Room 2, corner of Hassell Crescent and Leichardt St. (Same building as library)
